Locks

There are 2 types of locks that we carry on the web site. These are Type I Locks and Type II Locks. The locks will work on all mechanical safety chucks including VT Style and Classic Style chucks. The only difference is the size of the chuck.

Type I Lock (Suggested use with size 22-30 chucks)

22-30 Type I lock difference. Left new style no nipple - Right old style nipple diameter ( 6 mm)

30-40 Type I lock difference. Left new style nipple diameter ( 8 mm) - Right old style nipple diameter ( 6 mm)

We recommend customers with old style Type I lock kits drill out area and replace with new style.

Type II Lock (Recommended for use with size 30-40, 40-50, 50-80 chucks)
